Senior Spotlight - Grace Koutouzis, Athletic Training
Who is your favorite teacher at school and why?
I actually have a handful of favorite teachers. Tree, Bethany, and Coach Gough I would say are my favorite teachers. The only one I have as an actual teacher is Coach Gough. He makes working out so much fun and he’s never up-tight in class. Since I’m a student athletic trainer, I see Bethany every day after school. I’ve known her since my sophomore year when I injured my shoulder. She’s someone who understands me and always listens to what I have to say. She also never fails to make me laugh.
I’ve known Tree since my sophomore year. She’s one of the most caring and thoughtful teachers I’ve ever met throughout my years at Walker. She’s so supportive and is always ready to listen.
What's your perfect pre-game meal and what's on your pre-game playlist?
My perfect pre game meal is a pb&j Uncrustable, some kind of fruit, and a single piece of dark chocolate. Sometimes I’ll eat a piece of dark chocolate at halftime of a game as a way to make myself play better. My top 3 songs that have to be on my pregame playlist are Hollaback Girl, Tiimmy Turner, and All of the Lights. Those 3 songs get me hype and ready to play.
What colleges are you interested in and what are your plans for after graduation?
I actually verbally committed to play college lacrosse at Roanoke College next year. The associate head coach at Roanoke was my travel lacrosse coach this past summer. I toured in September, and committed about a week after. I’ve known for a while that I wanted to play in college, but I never thought I would end up in Virginia. I’m so excited to see what happens in the future!
