Congratulations to Emily Adams for being named one of the Top 25 Teachers in Cobb by the Marietta Daily Journal. Adams is the Chair of Walker’s Science Department and Innovative Teaching Chair and teaches AP Biology, Genetics, Guided Scientific Research and Epidemiology.
“I'm humbled to be among the other amazing educators on the Top 25 list. Helping young people on their path to scientific discovery is deeply woven into who I am as a person and brings me deep joy,” Adams said. “Being able to share the kids' journey at Walker means the world to me, and I'm thankful to be recognized in this way.”
Michael Arjona, Assistant Head of School for Academics, said: “Emily is one of the very best teachers I have known. She shares her infectious enthusiasm for science and discovery with all of her students and inspires them to learn and conduct research. Countless alumni credit Emily with sparking their love of science and giving them the skills to major and work in science-related fields.”
