Over the years, all programs within the Walker Athletic Department have benefited from the Wolverine Club, our booster club's generosity. Below is a partial list of previous contributions and accomplishments by the Wolverine Club.
Donations to every athletic program for the last 10 years. Coaches may use this money at their discretion for training aids, apparel, team activities, etc
Training aids and equipment for nearly all programs and teams (basketball shooting machine, baseball fungo machine, lacrosse goals, medicine and mobility balls for weight room, pitching and football-throwing machines, football chutes, volleyball setters target, etc)
$85,000 towards weight room equipment during 1997 Coles Gym expansion project
Stadium seating expansion
Cameras and lenses for school sports photographers
Tents for Cross Country and Track to use at weekend meets
Supplemental uniform and warm-up purchases for numerous programs and teams, including cross country, girls soccer, boys and girls lacrosse
Replacing football helmets to ensure maximum safety for our student-athletes
Equipment/supplies for Athletic Trainers: golf cart, whirlpool, Game Ready Cryotherapy Unit
Two water hydration systems for outdoor sports
Coles Gym improvements: chairs for basketball/volleyball benches; wall pads; roster boards; record boards for swimming, track, cross country; monitor to display schedules and results/highlights; team banners; state championship banners and plaques; Hall of Fame plaque; new scoreboards; corporate sponsorship boards; conference room and coaches' locker room chairs; uniform storage room shelving; coaches/officials' locker room refrigerator; benches, chair and table for lobby; new lobby trophy case and alumni athlete display
Video editing subscriptions to Hudl and Krossover; video equipment, including camcorders, tripods, monitors
Tablets to track weight room sign-ins
Built Concessions Stand at Robertson Field and the softball storage building
Assisted with building of softball/baseball batting facility
T-shirts for Didrikson and Thorpe Award winners (for students who participate in athletics every season during the school year)
Two softball/baseball infield groomers
Fund scholarships for senior Scholar Athlete winners each year
Installation of lights on the upper practice field
Assisted in fundraisers for the Scott Shockley Foundation, the Rally Foundation, and Relay for Life
Contributed to the cost of replacing Robertson Stadium press box
Concessions stand equipment (hot dog rollers, popcorn machines, coffee urns) and improvements (laminate countertops, cabinets)
