The private elementary school experience is one of great transformation and many cognitive, physical, and emotional milestones. Walker guides students on this journey by building meaningful relationships and providing opportunities for transformative learning. Each child's journey in the Walker Lower School is as unique as he or she is.
Opportunities for leadership development and public speaking are visible throughout the Lower School. Field trips also offer special learning opportunities for our first through fifth grade students.
From parent-teacher sharing conferences and newsletters to on-campus events, our teachers have multiple opportunities to share information about curricula and instruction related to each grade level while helping parents feel included in what is happening in the classroom.
Our Lower School Learning Support Team also works alongside teachers and parents to support students in a holistic way — academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally.
