Early Learners (3 Years) - Kindergarten

The whole child is the whole idea. We partner with families during this exciting time of growth and discovery to ensure that children are engaged, energized, and encouraged to explore the world around them. Fostering independence and developing problem-solving and listening skills, creates an environment in which each child thrives.
Strong phonemic awareness is built through Zoo Phonics and Fundations programs, which serve as stepping stones for our Orton-Gillingham instruction. As a precursor to Pre-K and Kindergarten Math in Focus/Singapore Math curriculum, our Early Learners develop a strong number sense (one-to-one correspondence, grouping, regrouping) so that they are ready to move from the concrete to the abstract.
Our youngest Wolverines enjoy a multi-sensory approach to lab-based science exploration, Spanish classes, library time, T.E.C. (Technology, Engineering and Creativity), art, music and physical education.
The emotional, social, intellectual and physical development of young children has a direct impact on their overall development and the adult they will become. Young children have big feelings in small bodies. Our Primary School Counselor works with students, teachers, and parents to help navigate this time of development.
