Progress Reports
It is hard to believe we are already halfway through the school year. Quarter 2 Progress Reports are now viewable on Walker Web. Follow these instructions to access your child's report. Please let us know if you have any questions or trouble locating your child's report. Items marked NE were not evaluated yet this year, and grades for those objectives will appear on future progress reports. Please use this report to celebrate and reflect on all of the progress your child has made so far this year as we transition to our second semester, which is sure to be filled with even more learning and growth.

Lower School Tours for Current Primary School Families
Please join us for an opportunity to get the inside scoop on what takes place in the Lower School. We are offering two separate times, January 10th, from 8:15-9:45 a.m., and January 25th, from 8:15 - 9:45 a.m., just for our current Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten families, to tour the Lower School.

If you are interested in joining us for this fun trek across campus, please RSVP using the following link. We will have coffee and pastries available beforehand to fuel you up! Both tours will start and conclude in the Primary School. We hope you will take this opportunity to see where Wonder leads you.

Spring After School Activities
The list of Primary School Spring After School Activities can be found here. Please reach out to Candice McAndrews with any questions.

Volunteers Needed
The WSA is hosting a Teacher & Staff Appreciation “Welcome Back to the New Year” luncheon on Wednesday, January 10th. Parent volunteers are needed in the Primary School to supervise students during lunch so teachers can attend this special gathering. Invite a friend and volunteer together!

Counselor's Corner
In guidance this month, we will be continuing to focus on how we are all different, yet the same. To plant seeds of inclusion and respect, we will be reading books, playing games, and talking about how although we are one big family at The Walker School, we are all uniquely and wonderfully made. We are having big discussions about different diagnoses, such as some people that you may encounter in life may need an inhaler to play outside, need a wheelchair to move around, need special glasses to see, or may need tools to focus in the classroom. We are all made differently! One person who worked hard to include ALL people is Dr. Martin Luther King. We can be like Dr. King in accepting and encouraging all those around us.
