Welcome Flik Food Service Staff to Walker

We are thrilled to welcome veteran food service professionals, Scott Willis, Flik Food Service Director, and Todd Tyson, Flik Executive Chef, to the Walker community. Scott and Todd are excited to provide an excellent dining experience for our community each day.

Both Scott and Todd have extensive experience in the food service industry and spent July
immersing themselves in the Walker community and the Flik Independent School Dining program. After training at a local private school and attending a conference for Flik Independent Dining professionals from across the country, Scott and Todd are now on campus to finalize plans for the upcoming school year.

Scott most recently served as the Director of Dining at Microsoft in Atlanta and has experience in the college and university world having worked in food service at Bethune-Cookman University prior to serving as the Director and Assistant Director of Dining at Georgia Tech.

Todd, a longtime parent at The Walker School, worked as the Banquets Chef for Hyatt Hotels for 10 years before serving as the Executive Sous Chef at Barnsley Gardens. Todd most recently served as the Executive Chef at Camellia Place, an assisted living facility.

Please join us on Tuesday, August 8, at WOW Day to meet the Flik staff and participate in a Flik-provided food tasting during each of the divisional WOW events. The tasting will be held in the Middle School/Upper School Dining Hall.

Additionally, as we prepare for the start of the school year, please feel free to share any allergy concerns with the Flik team. You can reach out to Director of Dining, Scott Willis, at scott.willis-flik@thewalkerschool.org

We look forward to seeing you all on campus!
