  • Senior Scholar Athletes

The Senior Scholar-Athlete Award is typically given to one male and one female senior student-athlete.  These award winners historically have earned varsity letters in multiple sports and excel in the classroom and in their chosen Walker sports.   The Wolverine Club provides a scholarship to each award winner.   See previous winners here
  • Wolverine Award

Each varsity team will name one Wolverine Award winner as part of our post-season honors.  With the Wolverine Award, coaches recognize our most exemplary leaders, mentors, and competitors.  This award is the highest team honor varsity athletes can earn.
  • The Gary Blohm Sportsmanship Award

The Gary Blohm Sportsmanship Award recognizes student-athletes who consistently demonstrate exemplary sportsmanship both on and off the playing fields with respect to their interactions with teammates, officials, coaches, opponents, and fans.  Student-athletes nominate their peers, and the Athletic Council selects the winner. The award is named in honor of Gary Blohm, who served the school as Athletic Director and head soccer coach before retiring in 2017.  See previous winners here.
  • Scott Shockley Award

The Scott Shockley Award is given in honor of 2012 Walker graduate Scott Shockley, who passed away in 2013 after a courageous battle with osteosarcoma.  The award is given to a multi-sport student athlete who best demonstrates the qualities the Walker community most admired in Scott: his selfless commitment  to his teammates, coaches and school; his fierce competitiveness; his courage and compassion. See previous winners here.

  • The Triple Threat Award

The Walker School Athletic Department encourages student-athletes to participate in multiple sports each year (about a third of our students play multiple sports). With the Triple Threat Award, Walker recognizes the students who played an athletic department-sponsored sport each season during the school year. See previous winners here.
