Walker offers a unique college preparatory curriculum with a personalized experience for all students based on their talents, strengths and interests. Within the framework of course requirements preferred by selective colleges, students have the freedom to explore their own interests and tailor an academic experience that makes the most of their strengths and meets their individual goals. By senior year, no two student schedules are the same.
Additionally, opportunities abound for high school students at Walker outside the classroom, and leadership roles enhance the growth and development of so many of our teenagers. Seventy percent of our students contribute meaningfully to one or more of our 24 high school athletic teams, and our robust arts program offers exceptional possibilities throughout the performing and studio arts. Whether it’s through interning at the CDC, representing Kenya in a Model UN competition, designing and programming innovative robots, or volunteering at a nearby community kitchen, involvement is key to the groundwork for Walker students’ success in college and beyond.
The Upper School offers 26 of the College Board Advanced Placement Courses, as well as additional honors and post-AP classes across all academic departments.
The Walker School is a private, co-ed day school offering opportunities in academics, arts, and athletics for preschool, elementary, middle, and high school students in Metro Atlanta.
