Opportunities abound for academic enrichment, athletics, the arts, and transformative learning experiences through the Walker Summer Programs.
We offer an extensive and diverse selection of enrichment opportunities for rising Early Learners to 12th grade students. This year's summer camps will be held between June 5 - June 30 and July 10 - July 28.
We are excited to offer over 40 summer camps and classes this year! We have a variety of new camps for students of all ages, such as MakerSpace Magic, Hiking & Outdoor Skills, and Beginning Strings Camp. Campers will also be excited to see that old favorites will be returning, like Broadway on 41 Kids, the Summer Explorers Day Camp, the Science of Cooking Camp, and the ever popular Fun and Games Camp. We will be adding more summer camps over the next few weeks and encourage you to check back frequently for these exciting additions such as Boys Lacrosse, Let's Go with Lego's, Young Chefs, and more.
Space is limited so register early to secure your child's camp selections.
Early Bird Drop Off, Lunch Bunch, and ACE (After Camp Experience) are all staffed by Walker School employees.
Early Bird Drop Off
Early drop off care is offered on a weekly basis and can be purchased as an add-on to any morning camp session for grades 1-8 offered from June 5 – July 28. Unless otherwise noted, the central location for Early Bird Drop-off will be Gatti Hall in the Lower School Building. Fun safe activities will be supervised, and students will be allowed to enjoy a morning snack brought from home. Children may arrive at 7:30 a.m. or later. Staff will accompany campers to their first camp or class. The weekly fee for Early Bird Drop Off is $35.
A supervised lunch and recess is also offered on a weekly basis and can be purchased as an add-on to any morning or afternoon camp. Campers need to bring a bagged lunch from home. When registering for camp, two options will be offered for Lunch Bunch:
Lunch Bunch 1 – Students who are attending one camp session, either morning or afternoon, during the designated week can purchase Lunch Bunch 1 for $25.
Lunch Bunch 2 – Students who are attending a morning session and an afternoon session during the same week may select this option at no additional cost.
ACE (After Camp Experience)
Our After Camp Experience option for rising 1st - 8th grade students will be available to all of our afternoon and full day campers. After Camp Experience participants will be escorted to the Lower School Gatti Hall where they will sign in at 4 p.m. and participate in a variety of fun activities such as arts and crafts, supervised playground time, games, and more until 6 p.m. The weekly fee for the After Camp Experience is $50.
Minimum Enrollment Deadline: Camps which have not met their minimum by May 2 will be canceled.
Registration Deadline: With a few exceptions, most camps which attain minimum enrollment by May 2 will remain open until two weeks before the camp starts. A limited number of camps may close 2 weeks before the start date in order to allow for enough time for special supplies to be ordered. Check the registration website for details about individual camps. If you wish to register for a camp less than two weeks prior to the camp start, please contact the camp leader or Kathy Berry for further information.
Refund and Cancellation Policy: The Walker School reserves the right to cancel any portion of a summer program in case of unforeseen circumstances. Refunds will be issued. No refunds will be given for missed days during a session period. To meet planning needs, after the May 2 deadline, no refunds will be given for withdrawals from a camp or workshop unless there are documented extenuating circumstances. However, if your plans change, you may transfer your student from one camp to another up to two weeks prior to the first day of camp. Extended Care/Drop In Policy: Early Bird Drop Off, Lunch Bunch, and After Camp Care are offered as additional options for one-week camp sessions and cannot accommodate single or drop-in days. It is best to register for Early Bird Drop Off or After Care when registering for camp as spaces often fill up.
Late Fee: A late fee of $1 per minute will be charged if parents do not arrive by the appointed pick-up time following any camp session.
