Walker is pleased to welcome Dr. Shimi Kang, Harvard-trained doctor, researcher, media expert, and writer to our campus on October 1 to speak to parents, students, and faculty.
Dr. Kang’s research has led to discoveries of important and essential components of life that our culture of stress and our drive for success often override.
Our previous film screenings of Angst and Like helped our school community understand how stress/anxiety and technology can easily become barriers to finding joy and peace in life. As a follow up to the lessons of those films, Dr. Kang’s presentation will offer direction on how to refocus our lives and our families so that we live our best life and to our fullest potential.
We encourage you to watch Dr. Kang’s Ted Talk as a preview to her time with us, and her book The Self-Motivated Kid is a great summer read! Please mark your calendars and invite a friend for this wonderful parent presentation on Tuesday, October 1st, from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. in the Coca-Cola Family Auditorium!
