  • Camp Deadlines & Policies

Minimum Enrollment Deadline: Camps which have not met their minimum by May 1st will be canceled.

Registration Deadline:  With a few exceptions, most camps which attain minimum enrollment by May 1 will remain open until two weeks before the camp starts. A limited number of camps may close 3 weeks before the start date in order to allow for enough time for special supplies to be ordered. Check the registration website for details about individual camps. If you wish to register for a camp less than two weeks prior to the camp start, please contact the camp leader or the Summer Programs Director for further information.

Refund and Cancellation Policy:  The Walker School reserves the right to cancel any portion of a summer program in case of unforeseen circumstances. Refunds will be issued. No refunds will be given for missed days during a session period. To meet planning needs, after the May 1 deadline, no refunds will be given for withdrawals from a camp or workshop unless there are documented extenuating circumstances. However, if your plans change, you may transfer your student from one camp to another up to two weeks prior to the first day of camp. Please contact the Summer Programs Director with any schedule changes.

Extended Care/Drop In Policy: Early Bird Drop Off, Lunch Bunch, and After Camp Care are offered as additional options for one-week camp sessions and cannot accommodate single or drop-in days. It is best to register for Early Bird Drop Off or After Care when registering for camp as spaces often fill up.

Late Fee: A late fee of $1 per minute will be charged if parents do not arrive by the appointed pick-up time following any camp session.

    Broadway Dream Foundation
The Weeklong Intensive is the trademark Broadway Dreams initiative — a program of strenuous professional training, with sessions in major metropolitan areas. Throughout the week, the international student pool employs the classroom to prepare for a formal showcase in which they perform alongside celebrated talents for an exclusive audience of industry professionals. Intensives are available in Acting for Stage and Film or Musical Theatre, with a focus on acting, vocal performance, and dance.

In addition to technical skills training with Broadway’s finest, students are empowered with leadership and teamwork building skills that are applicable to a life in and outside of the performing arts, and their respective confidence levels are enhanced by a strong sense of community — the impact of which extends far beyond the week.  Here is their registration.

CourtCamp believes that skills are learned and refined by actually doing them.  Soccer skills are learned by playing soccer, not by reading about soccer.  CourtCamp provides a relaxed yet challenging environment in which to develop real-life skills.
CourtCamp examines basic legal concepts, legal terminology, the American court system, and much more while focusing on a fictional case.  Using the facts of that fictional case, CourtCampers prepare for a mock trial to be held on the last day of CourtCamp.  While preparing opening statements, direct examinations, cross examinations, and closings, CourtCampers are really honing their critical thinking, logical reasoning, public speaking, and professional polish.
Registration for CourtCamp can be found here.
    Kid Chess
Once again, The Walker School is proud to host Kid Chess camp for grades 1-8 during the week of July 15 - 19.  KidChess registration can be found here.
