Philosophy of the Walker Preschool...
 he Walker Preschool provides a caring and nurturing environment where a love of learning is initiated with a strong academic curriculum that is developmentally appropriate for the young child. Self esteem, integrity, responsibility, and respect are valued and encouraged in an active, accepting environment, where creativity is appreciated.
In the Walker community, communication and cooperation are important. Monthly newsletters, personal conferences, and narrative progress reports are a few of the ways parents are kept informed. Walker's Preschool faculty and administration work closely with the children and the parents to ensure the education of the whole child, including two musical performances each year and a Preschool art show.
At The Walker Preschool, we believe that young children learn best when they are actively engaged and enjoying themselves. Young children have a unique way of viewing the world, and they deserve an atmosphere which will allow for their full growth and development. In our Preschool, the children receive the foundation necessary for academic success in future years.
