Inclement Weather
If a school day is to be shortened or cancelled, the announcement will be made by the major television stations (WSB, FOX5, WXIA) and by the following radio stations: WFOX, WGST, WSB, and B98.5 FM. Walker will not necessarily be closed when the Cobb County Schools are closed. If no announcement is made on the television or radio, the school will be open.
Also, parents have been asked to help serve the school by chairing telephone committees for unusual circumstances such as an unscheduled early dismissal. For this reason, it is important that all parents and committee members keep accurate up-to-date directories. Changes and additions should be reported to the front office. Please do not call the school staff at home. This only prevents them from making the necessary communication to notify everyone.
