Neil Clark wins Centre College's Counselor-of-the-Year Award

Dr. John Roush, President of Centre College, Kentucky has announced that Neil Clark, Dean of College Counseling and Guidance of The Walker School is the inaugural winner of Centre’s High School Counselor-of-the-Year Award. Centre College asked all members of their freshmen class to nominate counselors who made a difference in their college Search. Liz McConnaughey, a Walker graduate, reflection highlighted Mr. Clark’s devotion and expertise. In her nomination, she wrote,

"Not until our senior year did we grasp Mr. Clark’s genius scheme for finding the “best fit.” While we tackled AP classes and strove to improve SAT scores, he encouraged us to think out of the box as well as out of state. He made sure we were prepared to take on anything from scholarship interviews to writing the perfect college essay. Without Mr. Clark, I would never have thought of looking for a school in Kentucky. Yet here I am, at Centre College, one of the top ranked liberal arts colleges."

Mr. Clark and his wife are going up to Centre College for this recognition.
