March 1, 2017 will be a very exciting day on our campus, as we begin site work to prepare for our new science and technology building, as well as our athletic field expansion planned at 815 Allgood Road.
If you joined us at The Wonder of We capital campaign kickoff or at one of the Lunch and Learn events on campus, you have likely heard that we have raised just shy of $9 million of our $10 million campaign goal. The success of what has been accomplished thus far has allowed the School to move forward with early site work. We have the confidence in our community to help us raise the remaining $1 million so we can begin construction on the new science and technology building this summer.
After Winter Break, you will receive a robust packet that includes details on the scope of this historic project, a visual representation of funds we have raised to date, and information on the multitude of ways in which each family can be a part of The Wonder of We. We are also looking forward to launching a web page dedicated to the building project and campaign in early March. With the help of our community, we are confident we will be able to conclude the campaign by June 30 and collect $1.75 million in challenge grants from Atlanta-based foundations.
