Preschool Admission Procedures
The Preschool admission procedure consists of two separate sessions. During the interview the child will meet one-on-one with a faculty member. This interview will include letter, number, shape and color recognition as well as counting and one-to-one correspondence skills. During the observation session, a small group of children will be observed by two faculty members. The children will participate in small motor and gross motor activities, a story time, and free play. We will be noting how each child interacts with other children and separates from the parent. By observing children in this setting, we believe we can better evaluate whether the Walker program is suitable for each child.
Observations and interviews are held in the Preschool building at 830 Damar Road (directly behind the main campus).
